Founded in 1273 by Bishop Robert de Stichell, the Hospital of God was founded to support the poor and elderly within the area. Taking this founding ethos, the Hospital of God has developed into a modern organisation, supporting the most vulnerable people living in the North East of England.
The Hospital of God has a Residential Care Home, Nursing Home and Day Centres together with 110 almshouses in Greatham, Norton and Stockton-on-Tees. The charity has been embarking upon a major redevelopment of its facilities at Greatham in order to continue its high standard of care to those who are in need.
We’re delighted to say that we’ve a long standing relationship with the Hospital of God, working on nearly 20 projects with them over many years. Our expertise of working in conservation areas means that we understood the requirements of the work which was to be undertaken and the regulations which needed to be followed.
Our most recently commissioned work was the manufacturing and installation of 23 windows mixed between vertical sliding and casement and 6 doors from our Thornton range to match the country style in three properties from the Conservation Area in Greatham.
Matching charm with efficiency, our windows and doors compliment the beauty and elegance of the properties with the added benefit of thermal efficiency and security one would expect in the 21st century.
It was a pleasure working with the Hospital of God again and we thank them for their repeat custom.
